Royal Deeside : Saint Thomas' Church, Aboyne
St. Thomas' in Aboyne is a small, friendly church, part of the Scottish Episcopal Church. We are linked with the parish of St. Kentigern's in Ballater and our Rector also serves St. Ninian's in Braemar.
All are welcome to join us, visitors and residents alike.
With the exception of our children's church called 'STomp' (which is at 10 am on the third Sunday of each month), our Sunday services are generally held at 11.15 am, following the 9.30 am services at St. Kentigern's in Ballater. Our range of services reflects the diversity of our congregation. In addition to popular special services such as Christingle and the Crib Service, we hold a wide variety of regular services including Holy Communion (both the 1970 and 1982 services), Family Services, a children's church for children aged 0 to 11 years (STomp), Morning Prayer (Matins), Evensong, and other special services and forms of service such as those from the Iona Community.
